On November 5-6, Consul General of France Guillaume Lacroix made a two-day trip to Indiana to promote French education, biliteracy, and partnerships, as part of National French Week, and to discuss the importance of keeping the memory alive in the context of Veterans Day and the Commemoration of 100th Anniversary of the WWI Armistice.

Consul General met students and faculty at Southmont Sr. High School in Crawfordsville, and in Mooresville High School, where the French language has been re-instituted this year.

Consul General Lacroix also made a special visit to the University of Notre Dame in South Bend where he met Vice-President and Associate Provost Michael Pippenger, staff, faculty and students.

Finally, he presented the French Legion of Honor to two veterans of WWII, Mr. Daniel Levernier in Milford and Mr. Harry A. Wolfe in Franklin, in conjunction with Veterans Day.
