Consul General Lacroix in Omaha & Lincoln (NE) to develop new partnerships

On March 24-26, Consul General Lacroix and Scientific Attaché James Dat visited Nebraska to support a project of partnership between the City of Omaha and Isigny-Omaha in Normandy, France, and to promote student mobility at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Lincoln.

Consul General Lacroix discussed the importance of creating new business and education partnerships between France and the State of Nebraska with Governor Ricketts and U.S Rep. Don Bacon.

During their trip, Consul General Lacroix and Scientific Attaché Dat met faculty, staff and students at both University of Nebraska-Omaha and University of Nebraska-Lincoln. They discussed news ways to boost and diversify connections between the universities and France, student mobility, and study abroad opportunities. They presented the action of the French services for the promotion of the French language in the Midwest and shared views on the importance of teaching French. The program included visits of various colleges including research and engineering departments.
