Gala Lycée français de Chicago.
Chicago (IL), March 12. Remarks by Consul General of France Vincent Floreani on the occasion the annual Gala evening of the Lycée Français de Chicago.
I’m delighted to be with you to celebrate our great Lycée.
I just want to say how grateful I am for your constant support to the Lycée.
When I think of the Lycée, I see two things: Excellence and International Exposure.
Excellence is at all levels, from the Maternelle to international and French baccalauréats, thanks to the dedication of the faculty and staff.
International Exposure is our unique link to France and to the Francophone world. We are a French Lycée. We provide students with all the assets to access our globalized world.
The Lycée multiplies the students’ prospects for their professional and personal lives.
I would like to thank you, parents, for that and to thank the board, whose commitment and dedication is incredible.
Let me introduce the President of the Board, Ms. Sharon Langshur. Since my arrival, I’ve witnessed her relentless commitment to the Lycée, by leading further improvements of its excellence and it Frenchness. She really deserves a strong round of applause.
