During his first trip to Kentucky, Consul General Lacroix visited Whitney Young Elementary School in West Louisville. This school, which is part of the Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) system, is already providing French instruction in kindergarten through grade 5, as well as the International Baccalaureate program.
This school could soon become the site of a new dual-language immersion program in French upon School-Based Decision Making Council approval.
