Cristina Rocca, Chicago Symphony Orchestra awarded the French Legion of Honor
Cristina Rocca, VP for artistic planning at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra was presented with the French Legion of Honor on October 5th. "Throughout her extraordinary career, she has always advanced French excellence in classical music of yesterday and tomorrow. An Italian by birth and a French by heart," Guillaume Lacroix, French Consul General to the Midwest.
Before joining the CSO, Cristina Rocca was artistic director at the Orchestre national de France, head of artistic planning at The Cleveland Orchestra, artistic manager for the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg -OPS- and head of Artistic Planning for the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She will soon join The London Philharmonic Orchestra as artistic director.
