European American Chamber of Commerce – Cincinnati Annual Business Development Trip in France

During the month of June, the Cincinnati chapter of the European American Chamber of Commerce organized the travel of a delegation of enterprises to Lyon, Paris, and Normandy. The main objective of this trip was to promote the strengths of the Cincinnati region and the surrounding areas to the French community.

After some cultural visits in Normandy, the delegation traveled to Lyon for substantial exchanges with the Auvergne-Rhône Alpes chapter of the American Chamber of Commerce. Cincinnati and Lyon face similar challenges, as both cities are at the heart of important industrial bassins with a strong economic dynamism. The discussions focused on best practices, and above all, new possible partnerships.

The delegation ended its trip in Paris with several notable events. An exchange organized by the European American Chamber of Commerce Paris and Business France to present French companies with the keys to setting up business in the United States was held at the U.S. Embassy in Paris. More informal discussions took place between the Cincinnati delegation and companies based in the Paris region at a networking event entitled "Building the Bridgers".

The trip demonstrates the EACC’s ongoing efforts to increase awareness of Cincinnati abroad as an attractive place to live and work.
