3- French dual language programs in the Midwest
Teaching in immersion schools does not follow the French curriculum. The term "immersion" means that a certain amount of instruction is provided in the French language while following the American curriculum. As the main objective is to offer children the opportunity to become bilingual, these schools welcome both French-speaking children and young Americans.
French dual language programs are developing rapidly within the American public educational system. The network of French dual language programs now serves over 30,000 students in the US. Today, 16 cities in 9 Midwest states offer English-French dual language programs in over 23 schools.
Here is a list of the school accredited with the "Label FrancÉducation":
Launched in 2012, the "Label FrancÉducation" seal is granted to schools promoting French language and culture as part of their specific curriculum. "Label FrancÉducation" recognizes and rewards public or private schools that offer students enhanced instruction in the French language while also teaching other subjects in French.

- DELF & DALF
DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (proficiency levels A1 through C2), taking into account all four linguistic competences: writing, reading, speaking and listening.
Created by a team of psychometricians and experts in language testing, these tests are recognized on an international level and often used by foreign education ministries as a scale to evaluate their students’ level in French.
